Before beginning the interview #

  • make it easier or make them less anxious by informing them about:
    • they can answer the questions in the later part or by even writing an email
  • It is not expected of them to remember everything, the interview will on those things they know better

What to expect from experts? #

  • experts understand the questions right away?
  • The will give elaborate and relevant answers
  • Don’t sound patronizing to them they won’t like it

What to expect from junior or mid-senior guys? #

  • They give academic and un-necessarily lengthy answers
  • They don’t say “I don’t know or remember often” instead they will try to answer to a related question, instead of the right question
    • may be in desperation to answer something: answering related to is better than not answering or acknowledging ignorance

Important questions #

Technical Questions #

  1. Rate your self on speed or different dimensions?
  2. are you good in algorithms and data-structures or and design?
  3. Walk me through difficult/challenging/interesting/proud of experience while working on a project? then probe or tease the answers advantages are:
    1. you will his best experience
      • asking right questions about their best experience will you alot about the candidate
    2. if he faking it is easy to find out this way

Non-Technical Questions #

  1. what motivates or demotivates them?
  2. given an option where do they prefer working?
